Maccaferri 1954 Mod. GA-30

One of the first plastic guitars that were designed and put out on the market and produced in the USA was the "GA-30".After that followed the models "Model Mastre", "GA30" and "GA40", also pure plastic guitars. Looking more like a playtoy, these guitars seem to even sound not bad as one wouldn´t imagine when watching it.Experimenting with different materials Mario Maccaferri created these guitars to put out pricely reasonable guitars that would fit the needs of musicians in these late 50ies. Yet their success wasn´t that big. So production was quit again pretty soon.
