
He is a nephew of the legendary Sintiguitarrist Django Reinhardt, beeing educated on the guitar by his uncle Joseph Reinhardt at the age of 6 years.
Lulu Reinhardt, born into the famous Reinhardt-family of musicians has become famous by his long years working with Schnuckenack Reinhardt and the "Schnuckenack Reinhardt Ensemble" where he played as guitarrist for long years.
At the age of 12 years he is invited by his uncle Joseph for touring with the great Stephane Grappelli, playing that good already.
Stephane Grapelli once heared him play backstage at one of the concerts of his uncle Joseph Reinhardt and beeing impressed so he asked him directly to come upstage for the concert. That was the fiordst time he played for a big audience.
After many years later they both met again in Paris and Grapelli invited him again for a Tour to England, as well as a big european Tour. But Lulu wanted to stay with his family, so he stayed in Paris.
At the age of 17 he was the co-founder of the famous "Hännsche Weiss Quintett" together with Hännsche Weiss, recording several records for the series of "Musik deutscher Zigeuner" (Music of the german Sintis). Together with the "Hännsche Weiss Quintett" they paly many concerts on international stages and Festivals together with the great violinist Titi Winterstein, beeing well recognized by many critics, as well followed by radio- and TV-shows.
At the young age of 27 Lulu wins the "Deutschen Schallplattenpreis" (something similar to the german Grammy). In 2003 he joined the "Rigo Winterstein Swingtett".
Lulu Reinhardt was a highly gifted musician and guitarrist and with his melodical and virtous playing he inspired and excited many audiences. Together with Schnuckenack Reinhardt, Hännsche Weiss and Titi Winterstein he is menitioned as one of the best musicians in the german Sintijazz-scene of which he was is one of the great co-founders.
Lulu Reinhardt died on † February 10th 2014 by a stroke...
