Maccaferri 1956 Mod. Mastre

One of the first plastic guitars that were designed and put out on the market in 1956 is this "Model Mastre", produced in the USA. After that followed the models "GA30" and "GA40" within the 1950ies, both also pure plastic guitars. Looking more like a playtoy, these guitars seem to even sound not bad as one wouldn´t imagine when watching it.Experimenting with different materials Mario Maccaferri created these guitars to put out pricely reasonable guitars that would fit the needs of musicians in these late 50ies. Yet their success wasn´t that big. So production was quit again pretty soon.
