Favino 1952 Mod.3A

Favino 1952 Mod.3A
The guitar is very big. It is probably a copy of an L5 gibson. The bridge and the other metal thing on the body are not original, they are most likely gibson hardware. In the sixties, someone equipped it with a neck-pick-up, but it was no good for the guitar. In 2003 this guitar was restored by a French luthier. According to its label (see image) this is one very rare "Model 3B" created and crafted together with Maurice Chauvet and Jacques Favino. Maurice Chauvet was one of the luthiers that Favino met at the workshops from Busato while he worked there with him. In the early days of 1950ies when J. Favino opened up his own workshop they used to work together on some instruments. This is one of them.
